How does it feel?
The transience of existence?
It's time to wake up,
And see you're living in a lie.
Born into the burden of being alive,
Weighed down by the blessing of a conscious mind,
The wind seems to pierce, through the walls of your home,
Despite your company, you know you are alone.
The illusion of serenity,
It lingers in the air,
As we engrave our names, into the sands,
Just to watch them wash away.
Falling Further,
As every second passes into memory,
You've forgotten why it is we breathe,
Nothing is infinite, the only permanence is change.
This broken home, is but a shell to emerge from,
Your hollow heart can be made whole again,
This burden you feel, forever weighing you down,
Its held you back for too long, we're just ephemeral.
How does it feel?
The transience of existence?
It's time to wake up,
And see you're living in a lie.
This imperfect portrait,
Of what we have become,
We scar this land, we built our home on,
Just to feel we belong.
Falling Further,
As every second passes into memory,
You've forgotten why it is we breathe,
Nothing is infinite, the only permanence is change.
Falling further,
Just as the stars grow cold,
We burn so bright,
And fade into nothingness. (x2)
Born into the burden of being alive,
Weighed down by the blessing of a conscious mind,
The wind seems to pierce, through the walls of your home,
Despite your company, you know you are alone
